The World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE), the leading international forum for timber engineering, took place in Brisbane, Australia, this year. Experts from research and practice came together at the four-day conference to discuss the latest developments and innovations in timber construction technology.

Dr. Jan Wenker, Group Director Sustainability & Innovation at the Brüninghoff Group, was part of the rich conference program during the session “Education, Innovation & Challenges - Practitioner Focus”. He presented the research results on “Glued Wide-Span Timber Trusses”: a resource-efficient approach to roof construction with large spans, which not only offers economic advantages, but also easy dismantling for a functioning circular economy. 

As barista sponsor, the Brüninghoff Group invited all WCTE participants to enjoy a coffee break at the central coffee bar - also a welcome break for CEO Frank Steffens, who attended WCTE together with Dr. Jan Wenker.
