Groundbreaking in the Wolbeck commercial zone in Münster

A new crash-test facility for accident simulations

Heiden, 10/19/2010. In September, Dieter Schewetzky (WFM), Peter Schimmelpfennig, Wolfram Kalthoff, Ralf Bürmann (crashtest-service.com), Tobias Krützkemper and Christoph Jansen (Brüninghoff) took part in the groundbreaking ceremony in the Wolbeck commercial zone in Münster. The company crashtest-service.com, which specialises in carrying out crash tests for the purpose of reconstructing traffic accidents, worked with Brüninghoff to begin construction work for a crash-test facility.

By pooling its own competencies, Brüninghoff is able to make the customer’s ideas for a turnkey solution a reality. After providing the planning and construction services, the concrete, steel, aluminium and wood components are ready-cast in the Heiden manufacturing facility. After being transported to the construction site, they are gradually combined into one unit.

The new test track, including the hall and the office building with a total area of 13,600 sqm, will be built within a period of six months. In addition to numerous crash tests, crashtest-service.com is also planning to hold seminars and training sessions about accident simulation at this site. They expect attendees to include not just industry representatives, but also attorneys, judges, expert witnesses and police officers.
