HALL WITH A PHOTOVOLTAIC ROOF BUILT IN RECORD-BREAKING TIME

Reference project

The hall structure was built within 14 days; less than six weeks elapsed between the order confirmation and the final invoice. During this record-breaking construction time, Brüninghoff GmbH & Co. KG constructed a new hall for Spedition Brun in Heiden with two fundamental functions: providing covered parking for logistics vehicles and creating energy using a photovoltaic system. The 2,400 sqm roof was constructed at an optimal angle of 15 degrees facing the sunny side, and consists of 31-metre-long glued laminated timber that are distributed across prefabricated concrete supports along the entire 77 metres of the hall.

The order volume for the new covered parking structure, which was designed to be open on all sides, is approximately 250,000 euros. The harmonious roof structure, on a frequently travelled road between Heiden and the A31 freeway, can be seen from far away – starting immediately, the new eye-catcher in “Nordic stained spruce” now stands for environmentally conscious energy production and carbon savings in the region.
