Steel trader AS-Stahl, located in Duisburg harbour, had requirements that were clear and could be implemented with the help of Brüninghoff’s engineering services. Next to the warehouse, a crane system needed to be realised that could load and unload single weights up to 50 tonnes for inland navigation vessels at Europe’s largest inland harbour. Turnkey structures for a warehouse, production hall and administration building were successively constructed at the harbour site, using a combination of steel and reinforced concrete, and assembled on site.
